The Absecon City Council is the legislative body of the municipal government of Absecon. Absecon is governed with the Faulkner Act, which provides for a mayor-council system of municipal government. The Absecon City Council consists of seven members, six of which are elected from their city wards, and one of which are elected at large. Members are elected every two years. Each of the two wards of Absecon elect three members from their ward.
