Aditi Mayer [1] is an Indian-American sustainable fashion blogger, photojournalist, and labor rights activist.

Early life and education[edit]

In an interview with Fashion, Mayer described herself as having an interest in thrifting from an early age.[2]

When she was a senior in high school, Mayer became interested in sustainable fashion after the Rana Plaza factory collapse that killed 1,134 garment workers in 2013.[2][3] In response, she started a blog exploring sustainable fashion and her relationship with consumption.[2]

Mayer has a journalism degree from the University of California, Irvine.[3]

Activism[edit]

Her photojournalism work has been spotlighted by National Geographic, where she was a 2022 fellow, and her writings have appeared in Vogue, Teen Vogue, The Titian Thread, Fashionista, The American Scholar, Eco Age, KOCE-TV (Costa Mesa, CA), and Atmos.[3]
