Adrienne Yandé Diop (born May 24, 1958 in Dakar, Senegal) was the ECOWAS Commissioner for Human Development and Gender (2008-2014).
Prior to this, she was the Director of Communication at ECOWAS and was responsible for the departments of education, science and technology, gender, youth, sports and culture, and social and humanitarian affairs. She was also a journalist at Radiodiffusion Télévision Sénégalaise.

Adrienne Diop studied at the Université de droit, d’économie et de sciences sociales de Paris, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree (1988), a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Information Science (1989), and a doctorate in Information Science (1995).
In 1981, Diop earned a degree in English Literature from Richmond College, London.
Career[edit]
Between 1985 and 1995, Diop worked as a journalist for the editorial office RTS (Radiodiffusion Télévision du Sénégal) and was responsible for the production of the magazine "Zoom Sur," and then worked as the Editor-in-chief of the magazine Démocratie locale (1995-1997).
In 1997, she began working for ECOWAS, where she held positions of Director of Communications (1997-2010) and Commissioner for Human Development and Gender (2008-2014).
