Draft:Alex Taubman

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alex Taubman (born 27 February 1989) is a Welsh snooker player.[1]

Career[edit]

Taubman is from Halkyn, in Flintshire, North Wales. As a youngster his family had a battle with local councillors before they were allowed to build an extension to their family home to fit a snooker table, to save him having to make long round-trips to snooker clubs after school.[2][3] He has been a practise partner of Ricky Walden.[4]

Taubman has been a tournament winner on the Welsh amateur snooker circuit.[5] In the second event at the 2015 Q School he lost in the final round to compatriot Gareth Allen to just miss out on a professional tour place.[6]

He represented Wales at the 2016 EBSA Men European Snooker Championships alongside David John, Rhydian Richards, Jak Jones, Jack Bradford and Jamie Rhys Clarke.[7]

2023/24[edit]

Taubman was entered into the draw draw at the 2023 Championship League held at the Morningside Arena in Leicester, England from 26 June 2023.[8]
