Ali Plumb is a British film critic, broadcaster and journalist, primarily known for working for BBC Radio 1.
Early life[edit]
Whilst studying English Literature at Warwick University,[1] Plumb worked with the student radio station RAW 1251AM[2][3] and the university’s student paper, The Boar.[4]
Career[edit]
Plumb worked for five years at Empire[5][6] and Digital Spy's movies editor[7][6] before, on 18 December 2015,[8] joining BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra as their film critic, where he also appears weekly on Radio 1 Breakfast and Going Home with Vick and Jordan[9] and runs Radio 1's Screen Time podcast[10] and BBC Radio 1's Movies With Ali Plumb[11] Plumb co-hosted, with Vick Hope, the 76th British Academy Film Awards red carpet pre-show for BBC.[12]
