The American Revival Foundation (ARF) is a pro-labor, economically left-leaning national organization that gained its footing at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. The ARF was founded by Gabriel Ervin, a University of Michigan - Ann Arbor graduate and current student at Yale Divinity School.
The ARF has seen considerable growth since its creation in 2021, with several chapters across the state of Michigan, the Pacific Northwest, and the state of New York. The ARF platform can be described as aligning with various political ideologies but appears to be most closely aligned with Laborism and Social Democracy, with some elements of Christian Democracy. The ARF prioritizes values such as economic progressivism, including advocating for a living wage, is generally opposed to laissez-faire capitalism and corporate domination of the economy, and the reintroduction of the Works Progress Administration, a public works project developed by former President Franklin D. Roosevelt as part of the New Deal. Additionally, the ARF emphasizes their advocacy for environmental stewardship, paid family leave, free childcare, and providing subsidies to small business owners.
