Draft:Ancestors (radio play)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ancestors is a 1943 Australian radio play by Vance Palmer based on his stage play of the same name.[1]

It "tells of an Australian soldier in England who is beset by the same temptation to steal a moorland sheep as resulted in his grandfather’s transportation in the old days."[2]

The play was published in a 1937 collection of Australian plays.[3][4] It was recommended for production by the Playwrights Advisotory Board.[5]

The play was produced for radio again in 1945.
