Anthony D. Viazis is an American orthodontist, scholar and businessman. He is known for founding the FASTBRACES Technologies and inventing the technology used for FASTBRACES brackets.[citation needed] Viazis’s research in orthodontics has been cited over 1,500 times.

While affiliated with the Baylor College of Dentistry, Viazis published research on orthodontic appliance parts such as brackets, wires, and adhesives.[2] He has written on similar topics for publications such as the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, and the Journal of Dental Research.[1] His research has also covered topics such as orthodontic treatments and periodontal surgery.[1]

Viazis also published the dental treatise Atlas of Orthodontics: A Guide to Clinical Efficiency in 1998.[3] The book was a step-by-step guide to fixed appliance mechanics using orthodontic brackets.

Viazis owns several patents for his orthodontic bracket designs.[4][5][6]
