Draft:Ariane Vega

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ariane Nova (8) is a rocket from the Ariane family very different from the past future versions (Ariane 6, 7, and 8). The Ariane 8 is companied and owned by the ESA (European Service Agency). The Ariane 8 is a SSTO (Single-Stage-To-Orbit) rocket that would deliver rockets to orbit and would even deliver the second version of the JWST (James Webb Telescope). The first stage has an adapter in the intersection between the payload and the heat shield. At launch, the one main aerospike engine fires to prepare the rocket for the further smaller engines about to ignite. Soon, every engine ignites and fires the Ariane 8 to the outskirts of space, and soon out of the atmosphere all the engines stop firing, the fairing protecting the payload through the atmosphere deploys, and the vacuum (space) engines start firing. Once in orbit, the payload separates from the rocket and the rocket turns around to de-orbit itself. Then, the adapter separators separate in all directions to recover the heat shield that is about to be used to protect the rocket from the re-entry through the atmosphere. Soon after re-entry, parachutes deploy - 4 small ones at first, then 4 big ones on each side. Soon, the Nova makes a pretty hard splashdown in the sea. Soon after it will be recovered for another launch. The Ariane 8 is not a very well known rocket, and for good reason, too. Aerospikes are a great replace for bell nozzles, however, the aerospike has 2 major problems - heat and weight. But, the Ariane Nova makes good use for that.
