Assassination is an upcoming film directed by Barry Levinson a king the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Starring Al Pacino, Viggo Mortensen, John Travolta, Shia LaBeouf, Rebecca Pidgeon and Courtney Love. David Mamet Co-wrote the script with Nicholas Celozzi.
Synopsis[edit]
Chicago Outfit mafia boss Sam Giancana orders the assassination of the President he helped elect after he enacts laws that compromises the mafia and crackdown on organised crime.[1]

Production[edit]
The project was initially announced under the title 2 Days/1963. Script co-writers are David Mamet and Nicholas Celozzi, who is the grandson of Sam Giancana.[2] Bonnie Giancana, daughter of the Sam Giancana, will be a consultant and executive producer.[3] Arclight Films brought the project to Cannes Film Festival 2023 for sales with Robert Elswit on board as cinematographer. Corey Large and Nicholas Celozzi are producers with executive producers John Burnham, Arclight’s Gary Hamilton and Pia Patatian, Jordan Nott, Bernie Gewissler and Amar Balaggan. Finance comes from 308 Enterprises.[4] Mamet was initially announced as director but Barry Levinson was then announced to as director in October 2023.[5]
Filming[edit]
Principal photography was initially expected to begin in Vancouver in September 2023.[6] However, the following month it was reported that Barry Levinson was retooling the project.[7]
