Alim Bayel (Kazakh: Әлім Дәуренұлы Байел, Taraz, Kazakhstan) is a Kazakh diplomat, currently serving as Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Biography[edit]

Alim Bayel was born in 1984 in Taraz, Kazakhstan. He graduated from the Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey) with a degree in business administration. He also graduated from the George Washington University (Washington, USA) with a degree in public administration. Bayel is an alumnus of the Bolashak Scholarship Programme.

Bayel is a member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition to his native Kazakh language, he is also fluent in English, Russian, Turkish and Azerbaijani languages.

2014 – 2015 – Director of the International Relations Center of the Turkic Academy;

2016 – Head of the International Cooperation Division of the Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs;

2016 – 2018 – Head of the International Cooperation Division, Head of the Strategic Development Division of the Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2018 – 2020 – First Secretary for Political Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkey;

2020 – 2023 – Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Istanbul;

April 2023 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
