Berjanet Jazani (born 1980) is a British-Iranian medical doctor, practising psychoanalyst and author.

Biography[edit]

Jazani studied American medicine and then she earned an M.A. in psychoanalysis and sociology at Brunel University, London. She was trained as a Lacanian psychoanalyst in the UK and France. She is a member of the Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research (CFAR).

Jazani is the president of the College of Psychoanalysts Uk and the trustee of CFAR. She teaches psychoanalysis at CFAR and is a visiting lecturer at Birkbeck University, Middlesex University and Bristol University. She is the chief editor of Analytic Agora, a journal of The Academy of Psychoanalysis. Her writings mainly focus on psychoanalysis, sociology and culture studies. Her works have been translated into Persian, Turkish and Spanish.
