Bitzero Blockchain Inc. is a renewable energy cryptocurrency mining company.

Overview[edit]

Bitzero Blockchain Inc. was founded in 2021 by Akbar Shamji as an alternative to the high energy consumption from cryptocurrency mining.[1] In July 2022 Bitzero Blockchain announced that it will acquire the Stanley R. Mickelsen Safeguard Complex an abandoned anti-ballistic missile site in North Dakota where it will be converted into a cryptocurrency mining site.[2][3] Bitzero Blockchain will invest $500 million into the abandoned missile site.[4] Bitzero Blockchain and its investment in North Dakota is backed by Shark Tank financier Kevin O'Leary and Phoenix Group.[5][6]
