Bloxd.io is a multiplayer sandbox game that features minecraft-like voxel graphics and various gamemodes.[1] It was created by Weiqing and he later handed the ownership to Arthur, who is the current owner of the game.

History[edit]

Bloxd.io was created in 2021 by Weiqing, and it was originally called bloxdhop.io, a parkour game. The game's ownership was then handed over to Arthur, who still owns the game currently. Arthur added several new gamemodes to the game including Evil Tower, Doodle Cube and Cube Warfare.

Gamemodes[edit]

Bloxd.io currently has 17 gamemodes in their official website. This includes Survival, Peaceful, Creative, Bedwars 4v4v4v4, Bedwars Duos, OneBlock, Pirates, Greenville, Sky Wars, CubeWarfare, EvilTower, DoodleCube, BloxdHop, Hide and Seek, Murder Mystery, Plots and Infection.[2]

Pirates[edit]

Pirates was a gamemode added to bloxd.io in 2024 through a gamemode vote. Players will be randomly assigned to one of four ships in the game, and they have to try to destroy enemy ships. The last ship standing is considered the winner of the round.

Greenville[edit]

Greenville is a gamemode created by Matzapp. It is a roleplay gamemode where players work for a living, and can build and upgrade their plots.

Infection[edit]

Infection is another gamemode added in 2023 through a gamemode vote. You either play as a human trying to escape or a zombie trying to hunt down humans. In most cases, the zombies end up winning.

Gamemode votes[edit]

Across the years, bloxd.io has had many gamemode votes. The first vote was held in 2022 when Matzapp created two gamemodes and made people vote which one they wanted. The two gamemodes in this vote included Greenville and OneBlock. Greenville emerged as the winner, but OneBlock was also added in a future gamemode vote.

After the first gamemode vote, many others followed, which added popular gamemodes including OneBlock, BedWars and Pirates.
