Bob Riffle is an American gasser and Pro Stock drag racer.[1] He won B/Gas at the [[National Hot Rod Association|NHRA}} U.S. Nationals in 1967 and C/Gas in [[1968 NHRA U.S. Nationals|1968] .[2]

Gassers[edit]

Driving the Stickle and Riffle Rod Shop Chevrolet-powered Ford Anglia, Riffle was a frequent winner among NHRA gassers. He won B/Gas at the [[National Hot Rod Association|NHRA}} U.S. Nationals in 1967 and C/Gas in [[1968 NHRA U.S. Nationals|1968] .[2]

Riffle's best pass in B/Gas was 10.54 seconds at 128.20 mph (206.32 km/h).[2]

Pro Stock[edit]

In IHRA Pro Stock, Riffle made three national appearances.

Riffle opened his 1973 IHRA Pro Stock season at the IHRA Longhorn Nationals at Dallas International Motor Speedway in Lewisville, Texas. He reached the final, where he lined up against Don Carlton, and lost.[3]

At the Spring Nationals at Bristol Motor Speedway in June 1973 , Riffle qualified number four (behind Butch Leal, "Dyno Don" Nicholson, and Don Carlton). Riffle was eliminted by Nicholson's Pinto in the semi-final.[4]

At the Nationals at Lakeland International Raceway in October 1973, Riffle again qualified number four (behind Wayne Gapp, with Carlton number two and Nicholson number three).

He would lose to Carlton's Plymouth in the semi-final.[5]
