Bove's of Vermont is an Italian-American food company, established in 1941 by Louis and Victoria Bove in Burlington, Vermont.[1][2][3] The company initially started as a family-owned restaurant, but grew to be known for its homemade pasta sauces and Italian food products.[4][5][6][7]

Bove’s of Vermont began as a small family restaurant in 1941, founded by Louis and Victoria Bove. Located in Burlington, Vermont, it gained popularity for its authentic Italian recipes. Throughout the decades, the company expanded to into the foodservice industry, including a range of Italian cuisine products, including pasta sauce, pizza sauce, frozen meatballs, and other non-perishable goods.[1][2][3][4]
Although the restaurant closed in 2015, Bove’s of Vermont subsequently announced the opening of a new 15,000 square-foot sauce production factory just outside of Burlington, Vermont. This new facility was part of a strategic move following the closure of Bove’s Café after almost 75 years.[5][6][7][8][9]
In 2018, they opened a catering room at the factory where they host occasional pop-up dinners.[10]

The company offers a variety of Italian cuisine products, such as pasta sauces, pizza sauce, and frozen meatballs, which are marketed as emphasizing the use of natural ingredients.[1][2][4]
All of their products are now produced on-site at their family-run factory in Vermont, which opened after the restaurant closed in 2015, after previously outsourcing to an Ohio-based company.[5][6][3][8][9][7]

Bove's of Vermont has garnered media attention, including features in cooking shows and culinary publications. Notably, the company's lasagna recipe was highlighted on the Food Network show Throwdown! with Bobby Flay, when company president and co-owner Mark Bove participated in a competitive match against host Bobby Flay.[11][12][2][4]
