Brayden Clarke (born 3 July 2007) is a Welsh footballer who plays for Premier League side Arsenal as a defender.[1] He is the son of former footballer Nigel Quashie.

Career[edit]

The son of former footballer Nigel Quashie, he joined the Wolves academy at nine years-old. By the age of 15 years-old he was representing Wales U17.[2] At 15, he also made his debut for the Wolves U21 side.[3]

In March 2024, he joined the academy of fellow Premier League side Arsenal.[4]

International career[edit]

He featured for Wales at the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship in Hungary.[5]

Style of play[edit]

He is described as able to play at either right back or centre back.[6]

Personal life[edit]

He is the son of Kerry Clarke and Nigel Quashie. Kerry Clarke and her father Ian Clarke opened a trampoline park in Stourbridge, in 2015, before opening others in Cannock and Birmingham, and in 2018 opened the Midland’s first inflatable theme park. In 2018 they saved the Powerleague site in Halesowen from closure.[7]
