Brooke Bennish is an American singer and songwriter based in New York. On April 5th, 2024 she released her debut single "I'll Get To The Point..." an alt-pop lament co-produced by John Ried and recorded at Brick By Brick Recording Studios in Brooklyn, New York.

Early Life[edit]

Brooke Bennish was born in Salisbury, Maryland. She began piano and voice lessons when she was eight years old. When she was thirteen, she began performing with her local community theatre, and her love of music and performance found a new avenue in musical theatre. In 2017, Bennish moved to New York to pursue an education in musical theatre at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy, where she graduated in 2019. That year she began writing original music and teaching herself to play the acoustic guitar.

Career[edit]

In July, 2023 she began performing as a resident cover musician at The Independent, a bar/restaurant located in Midtown Manhattan. On August 17th, she performed her first show as a songwriter at Brooklyn Music Kitchen. She would then go on to perform at many New York institutions, including Rockwood Music Hall (2nd Stage), The Bowery Electric, Sid Gold's Request Room, Berlin, Bushwick Public House, Bar 9, Bar Freda, Red Lion, and more.

On April 5th, 2024, Bennish released her debut single "I'll Get To The Point..." In the six minute-long alt-pop lament, she desperately grasps at the dying embers of a failed relationship and resents her destiny as "the lonely one." The song was recorded at Brick By Brick Recording Studios in Brooklyn, New York. Bennish co-produced the song with John Ried. In addition to producing, Ried is also credited as the recording engineer, bassist, and mixer.
