BullyBillows (Brand)
BullyBillows is an online dog accessory brand, wholesaler and retailer based in Nottingham. BullyBillows was founded in 2017 by Anthony Koumi and Benjamin Billows. The company has offices in Nottingham UK, Czech Republic and South Korea. History Anthony Koumi and Benjamin Billows founded the company in 2017 and began production in Benjamin’s spare room. Anthony had his own local fruit and vegetable box delivery business in Nottingham, Anthony’s Fruit & Veg Boxes¹, which is still trading.
The idea for BullyBillows was formed when the pair decided to launch a 2018 charity calendar for a parody dog page on Instagram in 2017 which had 10.5k followers, later this page was renamed to BullyBillows. In 2018, Benjamin and Anthony created their first range of dog collars to promote via social media.
When the business hit a turnover of over £1m, both Anthony and Benjamin left their jobs to focus on BullyBillows full time.
Initially around 50 orders per week were sent from Ben’s spare bedroom and later moved to Anthony's parents conservatory. Within a few months of working out of Anthony’s parents conservatory, Anthony and Benjamin relocated to a first floor terrace building before moving location again to a 880sqft warehouse at the local fruit and vegetable market Anthony was trading from in his other business. Within 12 months they relocated again to their now 10,800 warehouse and opened another distribution centre in the Czech Republic and South Korea. Awards Anthony was featured on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 - Europe - Retail & Ecommerce (2022)², which recognises talented individuals in their respective industries.
Both Anthony and Benjamin were awarded the Winners of Retail Entrepreneur of the Year 2023³. Also in 2023, Anthony and Benjamin were shortlisted for the Fast Growth 50 Partners Award⁴.
