Camille Jalabert is a French animator, born in 1995. He was part of a collective called MegaComputeur. He is currently working at Passion Pictures. He is known for collaborating in the short film Hors Piste.
Biography[edit]
Camille was born in 1995 in Arles. He discovered animation by making a stop motion short-film at home. He joined Supinfocom in 2013. After 4 productive years, he went to l'Ecole des Nuovelles Images in Avignon to finish his studies.[2]
Career[edit]
In 2013, he made in two weeks his first stop-motion film, Create Yours. In 2016, in his 3rd year at Supinfocom, he produced "Fuel" an animated short film.[3][4] He later produced "DaddyCool" featuring a father looking to please his baby.[5] In summer of 2016, he produced "Deuspi" a short featuring two robbers in a grocery store. In 2018 he collaborated in the short film Hors Piste.[6] He won the BAFTA Student Film Awards for the film.[7][8] In an interview with Creative Review, Camille stated: "We like the fact that CGI traditionally is more for kids, because of studios like Pixar and Dreamworks" and "We like to change the direction and play with the rules and codes of these types of films to make films for adults, with blood or violence and stuff like that."[9]
