Carver High School was a public high school for African Americans in Dawson, Georgia.[1] It competed in the Georgia Interscholastic Association. It won a state championship in basketball in 1970.[2]

Math teacher Edna Lowe, who had master’s degree), did not have her contract renewed for the 1958-59 school year after she tried to register to vote with a few other teachers who were denied the right.[1]
