Charles Melvin "Slim" Timblin (January 9, 1892 - December 19, 1962) was an American vaudevillian, broadway actor, and movie actor. He was known for the films Larceny on the Air, Mountian Music, and Revival Day, as well as the Broadway play Tobacco Road.

Biography[edit]

Timblin was born in Butler, Pennsylvania, to Plummer Timblin (April 9, 1861 - April 18, 1940) and Anna E. Wise (October 1870 - March 23, 1957).^[1], after returning home from World War I. He often appeared in blackface throughout his career. He was cast as Swain in Larceny on the Air^[2] and as Shep in Mountian Music^[3]. He died as a result of cancer in Dallas, Texas^[4]
