Chiaki Horan (born September 28, 1988) is a multifaceted Japanese celebrity known for her roles as a newscaster, actress, commentator, and host.[1]. She is associated with Amuse Inc. and originates from Tama City, Tokyo.

Born to an Irish father and a Japanese mother, she started her career as a child model at the age of 6, after a friend's mother suggested it as a keepsake[2]. At 14, she joined the talent agency Amuse Inc. and began her activities as an actress. While still in high school, she made her television debut in February 2005, playing the villain Nai in the 29th series of the Super Sentai series, Mahō Sentai Magiranger[3]

She attended Tama City Toyogaoka Junior High School, Tokyo Metropolitan Kokusai High School.[4][5], and graduated in March 2011 from the Department of English and American Literature at Aoyama Gakuin University's College of Literature[4]. She received an Academic Encouragement Award in the 2009 academic year[6]. From 2009 to 2010, she studied abroad for one year at Oregon State University, where she majored in theater[4]

After returning from her studies abroad, she applied for broadcaster positions at all the major private broadcasting networks but was not selected by any[4]. Following these attempts, she started her career as a freelance broadcaster.

Beginning April 3, 2017, she took on the role of a broadcaster for the TBS Television's news show N-Sta.[4]
