Chukwuma C. Ogbaga is a Professor and Researcher.[1] He is a Professor of Biology and Biotechnology at Coal City University and Philomath University. He is also the Head of the Departments of Biotechnology, Microbiology, & Biochemistry at Philomath University.[2][3]
Early Life[edit]
Prof Chukwuma Ogbaga was born in Enugu State, Nigeria where he completed his primary and secondary education. He is originally from Ebonyi State. In 2010, he graduated with an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. He thereafter proceeded to the University of Manchester, England where he studied for his PhD in Plant Sciences (Biotechnology) from 2011-2014[2][4]
Career[edit]
From 2017-2023, he was a Senior Lecturer and subsequently an Associate Professor in the Departments of Biology and Biotechnology, Nile University of Nigeria.[5][6] He was the acting HOD, Department of Biology, academic adviser, students’ project supervisor and a member of Nile University of Nigeria research board. He has teaching and research experience at the university level spanning the United Kingdom, the United States and Nigeria[7]
Before joining Nile University of Nigeria in 2016, Prof Ogbaga was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and also a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois, USA from 2014-2015[8]. He is an active researcher with several collaborations and publications to his credit[9][1]
