Clorindy, or The Origin of the Cake Walk was a Broadway show staged in 1898. It was a major success.[1]

Paul Laurence Dunbar helped write the storyline, but was reportedly appalled at the show that was produced. It was performed at Edward E. Rice's theater.[1]
