Commitatus MC is one of the "big four" UK homegrown Outlaw motorcycle clubs.
Commitatus MC was established in 2000 by a group of Norse Pagan motorcycle enthusiasts as a Norse themed motorcycle club.
Commitatus put on a back patch and a 1% diamond patch in 2004.
The name Commitatus comes from the old English poem Beowulf where the term comitatus describes an oathsworn civilian militia.
Commitatus MC has two chapters based in London and Kent in England.
A plethora of national and international motorcycle clubs, including the Hells Angels, Vikings, Road Rats, Red Devils, Coffin Cheaters from Australia and Norway, Chosen Few from Belgium, and No Name MC from Denmark, attended the funeral of Commitatus member Ollie Jennings[1] in 2017.
Commitatus MC is known to be an independent motorcycle club that is not affiliated with any of the large American outlaw motorcycle clubs that have taken route in the UK.
