Compromising Positions is the UK based cybersecurity and technology podcast that interviews non-cybersecurity people from the fields of behavioural science, psychology, anthropology, marketing, UX/UR, and other areas of non-cyber tech about cybersecurity to get an outsider's perspective.

Every Thursday the hosts ask these experts what it's like to experience cybersecurity controls being imposed on them, what they wish cybersecurity teams would do to make their lives easier, and what cybersecurity professionals can do to learn from them and their industry to innovate and collaborate better.

Their first episode aired on 29th September as a Youtube live stream as part of the Leeds Digital Festival and featured an interview with co-author of the Phoenix Project, Kevin Behr.

Their episodes can be found on all major podcast platforms and on Youtube.

Frequency[edit]

Compromising Positions airs every thursday and each season runs for 12-13 episodes.

They also frequently post additional content in the form of Youtube shorts.

Hosts[edit]

Compromising Positions has two hosts, Lianne Potter and Jeff Watkins.

Lianne Potter is the cybersecurity professional and cyber anthropologist and Jeff Watkins is the cybersecurity 'enthusiast' and CPTO.

The hosts of Compromising Positions have 30 years of combined experience working, consulting, writing for and speaking as keynote presenters internationally on the following topics and specialisms:
