Cruz Hewitt (born 11 December 2008) is an Australian tennis player.[1]

Career[edit]

Coached by Matt Reid, Hewitt won junior titles in 2022 and 2023.[2] In July 2023, he was announced as joining the Rafa Nadal Academy in Spain.[3] Hewitt earned his first professional win in September 2023 in Darwin, Australia aged 14 years-old.[4]

In January 2024, he was awarded a wildcard into the boys' singles at the 2024 Australian Open.[5] He loat his first round match at the event against the sixth-seed American Alexander Razeghi.[6]

Personal life[edit]

He is the son of Bec Hewitt and Australian former tennis player Lleyton Hewitt.[7] He lives on the Gold Coast, Queensland.[8]
