Daniel Womersley is an English snooker player from Yorkshire.
Career[edit]
Based in Leeds, Womersley has won events on the English snooker amateur circuit.[1] He appeared in professional tournaments as an amateur, such as the 2016 Scottish Open.[2]
In 2021, Womersley secured a notable 4-0 whitewash win over former professional Rod Lawler at the 2021 Q School.[3] In January 2022 Womersley reached the quarter-final of the 2022 Snooker Shoot Out where he lost to eventual winner Hossein Vafaei.[4]
In April 2023 Womersley faced York’s Liam Pullen in the final of the Yorkshire Snooker Championship, held at the Northern Snooker Centre.[5]
He won the 2022-23 EPSB Open Series Playoff to earn a free 2023 Q School entry.[6]
In February 2024, he reached the semi final of the 2024 World Snooker Federation Championship where he faced Gao Yang of China.[7]
In the second round of qualifying for the 2024 World Snooker Championship he was drawn against Aaron Hill, but lost 10-3.[8]
