David Vito Gregoli is an American composer, music producer, and multi instrumentalist who plays in multiple genres and styles including New Age, jazz, classical music, and rock music. He was first introduced to music via pop music, rock music, and blues, starting as a very young guitarist in Los Angeles. He later studied classical music and received a Bachelor of Arts in Music from California State University at Northridge (CSUN) in 1982.

His spiritual studies led him to the New Age and World Music scenes. He was introduced to Meditation at the age of 13, and later Yoga. This in turn exposed him to global music and world instruments, from sitar to charango. His interests in the healing power of music and his classical background blended with experiments in New Age music, resulting in his first commercial release, Yoga Heart Healing:[1] in 2006.

He has collaborated with a range of artists, including Ricky Kej, Constance Demby, Jai UttalDeepak Chopra, Steven Halpern and Donna De Lory, Daphne Ashbrook, Stephen Kent, Mala Ganguly, Kimberly Haynes, and others.

Vito and his band were featured on the ABC News highlighting his appearance at the LA Zoo’s "Music in the Zoo" night on 7/24/09[2].

In 2010 and 2014 Vito produced albums for actor/singer Daphne Ashbrook, Grace Notes and All Good Dreamers[3].

In 2012 Vito released Primordial Sonics featuring didjeridu master Stephen Kent, an album described as "Ambient Aboriginal Groove Fusion - Indian, Australian, and Middle Eastern sounds infused with modern rhythms."[4]

In 2015 he released the album Om Land, which included a collaboration with Indian composer and producer Ricky Kej, which melded fingerstyle guitar with Indian influenced ambient music.[5]

David Vito Gregoli's collaborative release with Mala Ganguly, Mahadeva, was nominated for The Hollywood Music In Media Awards® (HMMA) in the World music genre in 2015[6].

In 2015 Vito toured China with renown spiritual singer Miao as a multi instrumentalist, playing guitars, mandolin, tongue drum, keyboard, flute and sitar.[7]

Beginning in 2016 Vito has been producing and performing with singer songwriter Kimberly Haynes, who has released two albums, two EPs, multiple singles and has won multiple awards for her music[8].

In 2019 he appeared along side Kimberly Haynes on KPFK’s Experience Talks radio show[9].

Also in 2019 Vito composed and produced music for Juliet Lyons' album The Light Within.[10]

In 2020 Vito produced albums nominated in four categories for the Fourth Annual Peace Song Awards[11]

One of Vito's most ambitious projects has been to bring the sacred text Bhagavad Gita to life as an album, Song Divine: The Bhagavad Gita Rock Opera[12]. Beginning in 2020 he collaborated with writer Lissa Coffey, working from her book Song Divine, a translation to English of the Bhagavad Gita as verse and rhyme as it was originally intended[13]. The album featured Indian superstar Sonu Nigam and was released in October of 2021 with positive reviews[14][15].

Vito has released multiple projects with three time GRAMMY™ winner and environmentalist Ricky Kej. Wild Monsoon was published in June 2022[16]. Ricky and Vito also collaborated on Vito’s “Om Land”[17] album.
