Davies Chirwa is a Zambian media director, cinematographer and entrepreneur[1] with a background in media technology and the founder of DC Productions Media Group and Channel A TV.[2]

Despite growing up in Zambia, he moved to the United States where he founded DC Productions and is most known for providing coverage for backstage events of the NFL around Superbowl since Superbowl LII.[2]

He was the Director of Media and Technology for the inaugural edition of Miss African Union USA Beauty Pageant held in 2018.[3] The event was sponsored by the African Union and chaired by Paul Kagame, the President of Rwanda and Ambassador Arikana Chihombori - Quao, former African Union Ambassador to the United States.

He is also on the Kent City's Cultural Communities Board where he works to increase engagement, integration, and access to city services for all cultural communities in Kent.[4] He directed the City of Kent Candidates Forum with Kent Black Action Commission alongside Mayor Dana Ralph and Kent City Council Member, Toni Troutner.[5]

As a member of the equity committee at the Washington Filmworks, his work is critical in the success in the diversity of the motion picture competitiveness program organized to provide funding and resources for the creative industries in Washington State.[6]

In recognition of his works, he received the Media Excellence Award at the 2019 Mwape Peer Awards in 2019.[7] He has also been nominated to receive the Pioneer Award at the 2024 African Film Festival in Dallas[8]
