Dane Thompson, better known as Deenie Ranks, is a prominent Jamaican dancehall DJ and producer. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, his love for music ignited during his teenage years. Deenie gained early success with hits like 'Stuck With Your Man' and 'Good Body Gal,' collaborating with Queen Yemesi under the Jet Star label.
Beyond singles like 'Bad Man Nah Bow' and 'New Kids Pon Di Block,' Deenie transitioned to record production and sound system creation. His debut production, 'My Time' featuring Angel, led to the establishment of the Fifth Element sound system, later renamed Fire Element by Capleton.
Deenie expanded his reach as a radio presenter on Lighting Fm in South London and later on Beat Fm in North West London. Not just limited to radio, he crafted distinct rhythms like Akita Rhythm and Silverback Riddim, collaborating with artists like Frankie Paul, Lukie D, and Don Campbell.
Presently, Deenie owns Team Gorilla Music Ltd., encompassing TGMRadio.com, HigheyeQualitas.com, SwiftAffinity.com, CaribbeanAnswers.com, Gorilla Gardeners Ltd, and WhyImmunise.com. Still actively producing music and DJing for Team Gorilla Music and Fire Element, Deenie remains a dynamic force in the industry.
