Deewani (transl. Crazy lover, lit: women mad in love) is an Indian Hindi-language Drama television series that was aired on Dangal under the banner of Shakuntalam Telefilms and it starrs Aditi Sanwal, Nitin Goswami and Sehrish Ali in lead roles.[1][2] This show was premiered on 18 March 2024 replacing the television series Har Bahu Ki Yahi Kahani Sasumaa Ne Meri Kadar Na Jaani.

Plot[edit]

Meera, a cheerful and beautiful women who believes in Love and lives with her family at Uttar Pradesh whereas, Parth the son of the famous businessman named, Madan Thakur as Parth hates his father due to his past and lives with his family. Parth is in love with a woman named, Payal who is in love with a man named, Tarun as Parth is unaware of the truth.

Meera likes Parth as one day he had saved her from the river and also his love towards on Payal. But however, Meera's mother, Chhaya doesn't like Parth due to defaming rumours about him and she also asks her daughter to stay away from him but Meera breaks every rules as she finds out Payal's truth and learns that Payal is in love with Tarun not Parth so she tries to reveal the truth to him but fails. Chhaya learns about the truth and blames Parth for trying to misuse her. Meera finally reveals the truth to Parth which shocks to him.

Then at the holi celebration, he spots Payal with Tarun so Parth takes Payal to the terrace and confronts her as Payal confesses the truth as Parth blames Payal for cheating him. Payal tries to hug him but Parth's brother, Garv accidentally pushes Payal and falls down on the building which leads to her death as Parth tooks Garv's blame and gets arrested and sented him to jail which shocks for Meera. Before Meera could meet Parth, Meera's family forcefully takes her away from them and they sended her to Mumbai for her further education. As Meera vows herself to meet Parth again.

7 years later[edit]

Parth released from jail after 7 years and he now hates love and marriage due to the incident as the same way, Meera returns to her family after she completed her education as she still loves Parth. Parth and Meera meets eachother as Meera proposes Parth but Parth rejects her proposal and asks her to stay away from his life. But things gets upside-down as Garv gets falls for Meera and decided to marry her as his family and Meera's family had accepts this marriage as the entire family had unaware of the truth.

Parth's grandmother learns about Meera's love towards on Parth so she asked him to marry her for the family's sake but he doesn't wanted to marry her.

Production[edit]

Development and Casting[edit]

The series was announced by Shakuntalam Telefilms July 2023 and was confirmed in February 2024 by Dangal. Initially, Sonal Vengurlekar and Saumya Saraswat[5] was in talks to play female negative lead but they later backed out due to some reasons. In August 2023, Nitin Goswami and Sanchita Ugale,[6] Jyothi Mukherjee and Veronica Talreja[7] joined the Cast.[8] Many of them later backed out due to late Production Development. In January 2024 Aditi Sanwal, Nitin Goswami and Sehrish Ali were signed as the leads.[7]

Release[edit]

The first promo was released on 28 February 2024 featuring Aditi Sanwal, Nitin Goswami and Sehrish Ali.[1] It was Launched on 18 March 2024.[9] It replaced the television series Sasumaa Ne Meri Kadar Na Jaani.
