Denmark was under Norwegian rule during the reign of Magnus the Good from 1042-1047. Magnus the Good, the son of the Norwegian King Olaf II, ascended to power after the Danish king Harthacnut died in 1042. This secured Magnus' authority over Denmark which effectively subjugating the country under Norwegian rule.
