Devinder Dabas @Baanke Pehlwan is an Politician. He was born in a farmer's family. His father was para commando in air force n mother was housemaker. His grandfather was a recognized wrestler in his area and this motivated him to become a wrestler like his grandfather.
Early Life[edit]
People assert that they have preserved the culture of rural Delhi, otherwise it appears that people have now forgotten the turban. One more thing, he has the kind of personality that is known to every age group, whether it's a 9-year-old boy or a 90-year-old man; everyone loves and respects him. Every morning 5 a. M he is doing gau sewa in gaushala. Whether it's winter, summer, or monsoon, he serves cows daily. There is no day when he does not serve cows.

He started wrestling as a game in a very young age. He had a great potential in this game and soon he achieved a good name in wrestling. With wrestling, he continued his studies also. He is from a farming background. So firstly he was doing farming in his native village. Then after sometime he moved to Najafgarh, a city in new Delhi.

Lagacy[edit]
Every year on January 26th, a program is organized in honour of the martyrs, in which thousands of elderly individuals are honoured with turbans. This program has been taking place for the past 33 years. Initially, wrestling competitions were organized, but for the past 17 years, musical performances have been featured. So far, they have honoured lakhs of people from rural Delhi by presenting them with the "turban" as a mark of respect. People also refer to them as "Pagdi wala Pehlwan." They have honoured prominent political figures like '''Amit Shah''''''Bold text''', '''Nitin Gadkari''', '''Rajnath Singh''', '''Venkaiah Naidu''', '''Jagdeep Gehlot''', '''Murli Manohar Joshi''', '''Sahib Singh Verma''', and '''J.P. Nadda''' with turbans.
