Dino Bontis (born August 3, 2004) is a Canadian soccer player who currently plays for Forge FC of the Canadian Premier League and has represented Canada on the U15 and U20 national teams.

University career[edit]

In Fall 2022, Dino played 9 matches as starting goalkeeper for the Western Mustangs of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) division in U Sports.[1] In Fall, 2023, Dino played 13 matches as starting goalkeeper and amassed a 0.877 save percentage for the season which ranked him as the #1 goalkeeper in all of USports.[2]

Club career[edit]

In April 2022, Bontis signed a development contract with Forge FC of the Canadian Premier League.[3]

He also made 13 appearances for Sigma FC in the League1 Ontario in the summer 2022 season.[4] He made 11 appearances for Sigma FC in the summer 2023 season.[5]

In January 2024, Bontis signed a short-term professional contract for the 2024 Forge FC season and the club’s 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup roster.[6]

In April 2024, Bontis signed a USports Development Contract for the 2024 Canadian Premier League Season.[7]

International career[edit]

In April 2017, Dino competed at the U13 Concacaf Champions League tournament in Toluca, Mexico featuring the top clubs in the region where he won the Golden Glove as the top goalkeeper of the tournament.[8]

In August 2019, Dino was called up to the Canadian Under-15 team. He started in four matches at the U15 Concacaf Championships and secured two shutouts against Mexico (2-0) and El Salvador (7-0) at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.[9]

In April 2022, he was called up to the Canadian Under-20 team for a match against Costa Rica during which he secured a shutout.[10]

In June 2022, he was named to the official roster of the Canadian U-20 team for the 2022 CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Honduras.[11]
