This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). Dog Parade is an American band from Farmington, Connecticut, United States.
As of December 2023, the band has released six singles.
History[edit]
The band formed in Farmington, Connecticut in 2021, and consists of Matthew Plona (vocals, guitar, bass), Logan Finn (lead guitar, vocals), Jordan Kaminski (vocals, guitar, bass), and Logan "Mondo" Ashton (drums). Plona, Finn, and Kaminski had written and performed songs together since high school. Ashton, hailing from Centerbrook, Connecticut, would officially join the group in late 2021 after trying out for the role of drummer.
In early 2022 the band would set to recording out of Ashton's Centerbrook home, dubbed "Mondo Studios", their main aim at this time being to record their first single. On February 19, 2022, the band would make their broadcast debut on the WHUS radio program Welcome To... The Show hosted by DJ Sleepy Steve, featuring demos of "Man Of Conviction" and "I Think It's Alright", as well as live versions of "Backroads Of New England" and covers of "Just Can't Be" and "Colorado" by The Flying Burrito Brothers, "I've Got A Feeling" by The Beatles, and "Punkatronic High School" by Pasta Lemon.[1] They would go on to officially release "Man Of Conviction" and "I Think It's Alright" on May 16, 2022 and April 7, 2023 respectively. Between these two singles, a cover of Steelers Wheel's "Star" was released on Christmas Day, 2022. The original songs "King Of The World", "I'm Goin' Fishin' WIth My Buddy Jon Albert", and "St. Valentine" were later released throughout 2023.
On December 11, 2023, on the WFCS radio show The Wolf Den hosted by DJ Zane, the band announced their first studio LP, set to release on New Years' Day, 2024.[2]
