Don Bosco Youth Net ivzw (DBYN) is a network of European Salesian Youth Organisations whose work started in 2000[1] but was officially founded in 2004[2]. Since 2019, it consists of 18 member organisations located in 16 countries: Austria (2), Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy (2), Malta, Montenegro, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
DBYN 's working style is based on the preventive system[3], created by Don Bosco in the 19th century.

Activities[edit]
DBYN and its members organise training courses and seminars for young people (16-30 years old) on different topics, through non-formal education techniques. These activities usually tend to cater to the four profiles established during the master plan 2018-2020:
- Educator/Animator: animation skills, education techniques, intercultural skills
- Youth Advocate: advocacy, representation, human rights education
- Social Entrepreneur: project management, grant application, digital tools
- Salesian Chaplain: value-based assistance, spirituality
The network is also providing a platform for animator exchanges between countries during the summer, called "Summer Exchange of Animators"[4]. The youth organisations can publish opportunities available in their local youth centres and interested young people can apply.
Structure[edit]
The structure of the organisation[5] is as follow:
- General Executive Body (all member organisations)
- Administrative Board
- President
Member organisations[edit]
The 18 member organisations[6] meet twice a year during the general assemblies. Each member organisation sends one representative on behalf of their organisation.
