Edgar Lafayette McHaney (November 6, 1876 – May 29, 1948) was a justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court from 1927 to 1948.[1]

Born in Gibson County, Tennessee.[2]

McHaney graduated from Southern Normal University and Arkansas Law School. McHaney was one of the original organizers of Ducks Unlimited. He served as its President in 1948. In 1921, McHaney was elected to be a State Representative. He was appointed to be an Associate Justice in 1927 where he served until his death.[2]
