The Ehrenzeichen für Verdienste um das Land Wien, Medal of Honor for Services to the State of Vienna is the most significant honor currently awarded by the Federal State of Vienna. The various levels of the order are awarded by the Landeshauptmann in his or her name.

The Medal of Honor for Services to the State of Vienna is awarded to people who have made outstanding, outstanding, extraordinary, significant, special or great services to the State of Vienna through public or private work. The state government is responsible for awarding the decoration, with the state government issuing the honorees a certificate signed by the state governor.

The Medal currently comprises seven levels, with the individual insignia consisting of a neck decoration, a breast star, a combination of neck decoration and breast star or a medal, depending on the class. Furthermore, smaller miniatures of the decorations can be worn.
