Exemplar Global Inc., (formerly RABQSA)[1] is a not-for-profit organization with shared headquarters in both the United States and Australia. As an affiliate to the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and ASQExcellence, Exemplar Global Inc. offers certifications to individual auditors as well as auditor training organizations in the field of management system standards.[2][3][4] Additionally, under its iNARTE (International Association for Radio, Telecommunications and Electromagnetics) brand, Exemplar Global provides certifications and exams for engineers and technicians in fields such as telecommunications, electromagnetic compatibility/interference (EMC/EMI), product safety, electrostatic discharge control (ESD), aerospace and defense.[5]

History[edit]

Exemplar Global Inc. was founded as Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) on 13 November 1989.[6]

In 1990, Quality Society of Australasia (QSA) was founded in Australia. [7] Its aim is to provide recognition and professional states to quality participanters through its accreditation system.

In 2004, the U.S Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB) merged with the Australia-based Quality Society of Australasia (QSA) to form RABQSA International, offering conformity-assessment certification in both the United States, Australia and beyond.[8] [9]

In 2012, RABQSA International merged with iNARTE.[10] The association, originally named NARTE (National Association for Radio, Telecommunications, and Electromagnetics), was founded in 1982 to establish criteria for the validation of professional telecommunications engineers, as a result of deregulation of the United States' Federal Communications Commission (FCC).[5]

In 2014, RABQSA changed its name to Exemplar Global to reflect the global nature of its certifications.[11][12]

Certifications[edit]

Exemplar Global offers personnel certifications across diverse management system standard auditing, mainly focused on quality management systems, environmental management systems, health and safety management systems, and food safety systems.[13]

In 2012, following iNARTE's merger with RABQSA, the organization expanded its offerings to include a range of certification programs for engineers and technicians in various fields, such as telecommunications, EMC/EMI, product safety, ESD, aerospace, and defense.[14]

In 2016, Exemplar Global started offering training certification programs to give proof of quality for training providers, higher education institutions, and commercial organizations that offer non-degree training.[15] [16]

Services[edit]

Exemplar Global provides educational resources to its customers and community members, including regular webinars, The Auditor Online newsletter,[17] and the professional development online platform Exemplar LINK.[18]
