  • Comment: more like a dictionary definition than an encyclopedic article. Also not all true and unsourced claims. Not all are run by "professional fishermen". The second sentence sounds like a very long way to point out the obvious: they happen all over the world on all forms of waterway, also unsourced. The last sentence and sources are USA specific KylieTastic (talk) 14:52, 20 January 2024 (UTC)

A Fishing Charter, also known as a fishing excursion or fishing trip, refers to a service offered by professional fishermen who provide the boat, licensing, and equipment for individuals or groups the experience of Fishing.[1]

Fishing Charters are available all around the world in a variety of settings. Fishing Charters take place in coastal regions, on rivers, lakes, and the ocean. Fishing Charters can also take place on a lake or mountain stream.

On a fishing charter, a fishing vessel[2] is run by a Charter Boat Captain. "A Charter Boat Captain commands a small vessel as a master, captain, or skipper and may contain a sailing endorsement for sailing vessels and/or a commercial towing endorsement for vessels engaged in assistance towing."[3]
