- Comment: The sources for this article all point to the same set of experimentation at Rice University. Until this technique has been verified in other studies, it doesn't really merit an article. Also, the writing style of this article is far from the tone that is expected in an encyclopedia. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:54, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
Flash joule heating technique is a method in which stuffing of source materials between two electrodes in a tube is done by sending a quick jolt of electricity through them.[1]
USES OF FLASH JOULE HEATING TECHNIQUE[edit]
Their are a lot of uses of uses of this technique, some of them are ⇒
- This technique is used for recovering valuable metals from electronic waste materials in an ecological and economical way.[2]
- It is used for recycling plastic by converting it into its basic components which are hydrogen and graphene (carbon).
- It is used for creating carbon nanotubes and carbon nanofibers from plastics wastes, the diameter of the carbon nanotubes can be controlled by the power supplied or the catalyst used.[3]
How is this technique useful to us[edit]
This technique is useful to us as it helps us to recover key elements of plastic wastes which are hydrogen and carbon (graphene) from it . As we aleady know that plastic waste is a big problem for us as it is produced in large quantity due to its variable uses but it is harmful to the enviroment because it takes 100's of years to get recycled . All the traditional ways of recycling of plastics is either very costly or hazardious to the enviroment .
USES OF THIS TECHNIQUE IN THE UPCOMING TIME[edit]
This technology is used in the above stated manner but this technology is being researched for creating hydrogen fuel which would be later used for hydrogen fuel powered cars . This technique wil be useful in the future for creating hydrogen fuel as the curent methods are either to costy or it is not efficient enough.
