Overview

Florida Hebrew University (FHU) is a religious post-secondary institution that adheres to Orthodox Jewish tradition and halakhic rulings. The university was founded in 2020 [1] to serve Torah-observant students in providing high quality Torah-infused education within a Torah-observant environment. The university follows a hybrid learning model of online and in-person instruction.

Academics

Florida Hebrew University offers undergraduate and graduate religious - Bachelor's, Masters's and Doctorate degrees - in such areas as Torah Studies, Sacred Linguistics, Communications, Neshama Daat (Counseling), Education, Art, Tzniut (Modest) Fashion, Jewish Music, and Hebrew and Jewish Studies.

University Policies

All students are required to adhere to the halakhic standards of tzniut, shomer negiyah, rules of kashrut, Shabbat, chagim, and halakhah halashon (no gossip practice).


Torah-Based Research

Florida Hebrew University is pioneering an innovative approach to understanding the impact of Torah-based mitzvot on individuals' lives, especially those who are not regularly engaged in these practices. The FHU Torah-based Research Program seeks to explore the transformative potential of mitzvot through experimental studies.[2]
