Francis Warrington Dawson (May 17, 1840 - ) News and Courier (&?) Charleston earthquake 1886 murdered.

He was born Austin John Reeks in London, England to Austin Reeks and Mary Perkins. He studied in London and married Virginia Fourgeaud, a Frenchwoman from Charleston, in 1867. He married Sarah Morgan, the daughter of Judge Thomas Gibbes Morgan of Louisiana, January 27, 1874. They had two children.
