Free Democrat referred to Free Soil (anti-slavery) advocates in the U.S.

The Free Democrat was newspaper in Wisconsin edited by S. M. Booth.[1] Booth also edited American Freeman[2]

The Free Democrat newspaper in St. Joseph, Missouri (near the border with Kansas) was started by Bernard? Pearle?[3]

In Indiana a free soil third party led by Schuyler Colfax used the title.[2]

Michigan Free Democrat was a newspaper[4]

The name was also given to a schooner out of Milwaukee[5]
