Gabrielle David (born June 22, 1999) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player with the PWHL Montreal team. David played for the Clarkson Golden Knights Women's Hockey team for four seasons starting with her freshman season in 2019.

On September 18, 2023, David was drafted 54th overall in the ninth round by PWHL Montreal in the inaugural PWHL draft[1], held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Playing career[edit]

Collegiate career[edit]

David began her collegiate career for Clarkson in the 2019–20 season. During her freshman season, David recorded 14 goals and 24 assists, becoming the nation's leading rookie scorer with 38 points. She was named USCHO.com Rookie of the Year, ECAC Hockey's Rookie of the Year, ECAC's Rookie of the Month for February, and was a three-time recipient of the ECAC's Rookie of the Week (10/21, 11/4, 3/2). David was also named to the ECAC's All-Rookie team and the ECAC Hockey All-Academic team.[2]

David's sophomore season was cut short by the Covid pandemic with the Knights playing only.

Professional career[edit]

On May 18, 2023, David signed a one year contract with the PHF's Boston Pride.[3] On June 29, 2023, the Mark Walter Group agreed to acquire the PHF and its assets. Subsequently, all existing and new PHF contracts were cancelled.[4]

National team career[edit]

On September 8, 2023 Hockey Canada announced that David was invited to attend the National Women's Team Fall Camp in Thorold, ON.
