Gene Carl Hayman Jr. (born July 9, 1965, in Fairfax, Virginia, United States) is an American aerospace executive known for his influential role in airspace modernization. As of 2023, he serves as the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Stratify Aerospace.[1][2]
Early Life[edit]
Hayman was born in Fairfax, Virginia to Gene Hayman Sr and Carol Hayman. When he was six years old, his family relocated to Herndon, Virginia, a suburb within the Northern Virginia region, where he has resided ever since. In December 1976, his family experienced a significant change when his parents separated. His mother took on the responsibility of gaining employment and raising the two sons alone, which led to the family facing financial challenges and eventually living in housing subsidized under Section 8, a program designed for low-income families.
The financial constraints, exacerbated by his mother's ability to secure on limited full-time employment, compelled Hayman to become independent at the age of 17, when he moved out to start his own journey.

Throughout his career, Hayman has held several prominent positions, including:

The Ambassador Award is rarely given out and remains as one of the highest honors of ATCA and the aviation community.
- FAA's Global Leadership Initiative[9]: FAA initiated a new governance framework dubbed the Global Leadership Initiative (GLI), which aimed to shape the Agency's future international engagements.
- FAA's Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen)[12][13]: Hayman was the Industry co-Chair of the Network-Enabled Working Group and contributed to the creation and authorship of Sections 4 & 5 of the NextGen Integration Plan.

Presently, Hayman is engaged to Damaris Toro, who hails from Colombia. Damaris has a background as a model and has participated in several international beauty pageants.
He is a father to four children—Amber, Robert, Natalie, and Anthony. By 2023, he also embraced the role of a grandfather to four grandchildren: Rae Lynn, Sawyer, JJ, and Harley.
Beyond his professional achievements in aviation, Hayman harbors a deep-seated passion for automobiles. His automotive interests are broad, ranging from car shows to amateur racing. A particular aficionado of American muscle cars in the past, he now finds pleasure in the refined comfort and performance of British motorcars..
