Getz Healthcare provide distribution of medical devices, equipment from companies such as BeyondAir[2], and SubtleMedical[3], as well as consumables across multiple therapeutic areas to hospitals, physicians, laboratories, independent and chain retail pharmacies, and other healthcare systems across Asia Pacific.

The company is headquartered in Singapore, serving 7,500 customers worldwide, and have 23 offices and distribution centers spread across 9 countries: Australia, Hong Kong & Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan (as Briogene Pvt Limited)[4], Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.[3]

Acquisitions[edit]

On October 2015, Getz Healthcare acquired Jebsen & Jessen's Healthcare Businesses In Malaysia & Thailand.[5]

On 2018, Medical Technologies, a medical device distribution company, founded in Western Australia in 1989 was acquired by Getz Healthcare.[6]

In 2021, Getz Healthcare acquires 3 HCD Companies in Hong Kong.[7]

The Getz Group of Companies[edit]

Getz Healthcare is part of The Getz Group of Companies under its Healthcare & Life Sciences sector, which also includes: Getz Pharma[8], Getz Clinical[9], and Scinomed[10]

The group was established in 1852 and started operations in Asia in 1871 by European immigrants and brothers Joseph and Max Getz.

The business grew to become a wholesale business known across the United States, and by the 1870s Getz Bros. had expanded into the Asian markets, exporting dry goods and then fresh food items to Shanghai and Hong Kong.[11]

Over the next four decades, Getz Bros. the company rapidly expanded into South-East Asia and opened offices in Japan, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand while trading in India, Australia, Indonesia, Burma and Ceylon.[11]

In 2016, The Getz Group of Companies rebranded their nine healthcare businesses, to Getz Healthcare.[12][13]
