Girlfriends is an American pop punk band from Riverside, California, formed in 2020. The group consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Travis Mills and drummer Nick Gross.

History[edit]

2020: Formation and self-titled debut album[edit]

Mills and Gross formed the band in 2020, when Mills saw Nick drumming in an Instagram story. Mills called him up and Nick agreed to form the band. The duo citing Blink-182, 5 Seconds of Summer and All Time Low as the band's musical influences.[1] The band released the first single "California" on June 26, 2020, with the music video being released on August 11.[2] This was followed by their second single "Eyes Wide Shut" on 21 August 2020.[3] Their self-titled debut album was released on 23 October 2020 featuring 14 tracks. The production was led by John Feldmann.[4]

girlfriends's musical style has been described as pop punk.

The duo citing bands like Blink-182, 5 Seconds Of Summer, The 1975, Phoenix e All Time Low as influences.
